Terry L. Barger

Mr. Barger received his Bachelor's degree at the University of Colorado and his MBA from Pepperdine University. Mr. Barger spent nine years as a Marine Corps pilot leaving with the rank of Major. His career in real estate began at LaSalle Partners, a nationally recognized and prestigious asset management firm, as a General Manager responsible for the asset management (operations and leasing) of several high-rise office buildings in Southern California. From this experience, Mr. Barger gained valuable insight into how landlords escalate building costs and observed the general lack of specialized lease auditing expertise available to tenants. He founded CyberLease in 1989 to meet this need. Mr. Barger instructs educational seminars for such numerous real estate organizations including various local chapters of the Building Owners and Managers Associations (BOMA) as well as Building Owners and Managers Association International, Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), International Facility Managers Associations (IFMA), Corporate Real Estate Network (CORENET). Mr. Barger has repeatedly served as instructor for numerous courses accredited by Bar Associations for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit and/or Departments of Real Estate (DRE) credit for continuing education of real estate professionals. He has had articles on the subject of commercial leasing and operating expense issues published in Journal of Property Management and Office & Industrial Properties. Mr. Barger co-authored the operating costs section for the book entitled Negotiating and Drafting Office Leases by John Wood and Alan Di Sciullo published by Law Journal Seminars Press. He has also coauthored an article entitled "Commercial Office Leases in the United States: Financial Risk Transfer and the Loss of Innovation” published by the prestigious Corporate Real Estate Journal. Mr. Barger is frequently called to be an expert witness.
